Dodge took over downtown Pontiac, Michigan, with a thunderous return to Woodward Avenue for the 10th annual MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge, and they didn’t come empty-handed. In front of thousands of muscle car faithful and live-streamed fans across the globe, Dodge dropped the covers on two of the most anticipated performance vehicles of the year: the all-new 550-horsepower 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, powered by the new SIXPACK twin-turbo inline-six, and the brutally customizable 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.

550 Horses for Under $55K: Meet the New Charger Scat Pack

Dodge CEO Matt McAlear led off the Friday press preview by unveiling the newest beast in the Charger lineup — a 2026 Scat Pack model that’s not only packing 550 horsepower from its 3.0L Twin Turbo SIXPACK H.O. engine, but also launching with a price tag just under $55,000. It’s the most powerful car you can buy under that price point, and Dodge fans were eager to get their first experience — lining up for thrill rides in the SIXPACK-powered Scat Pack throughout the event.

And that’s just the beginning. McAlear also announced a more affordable Charger R/T with 420 horsepower, set to open for orders later this year with an MSRP starting at $49,995.

Jailbreak the Beast: 2026 Durango SRT Hellcat Goes Wild

Also revealed: the return of the HEMI-powered 2026 Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, now offering over six million potential customization combinations. Yes, six million. Every 2026 Dodge Durango — from the entry-level GT to the fire-breathing Hellcat — will come standard with a HEMI V8, with orders opening August 13.

A Weekend for the History Books

The weekend wasn’t just about new metal. It marked a milestone — 10 years of Roadkill Nights — and Dodge pulled out all the stops. 

• Morgan Evans took her second consecutive Direct Connection Grudge Race win in her HurriCrate-powered 1987 Dodge D150 truck, cementing her name alongside legends like Alex Taylor.   
• Jimmer Kline and Jeffery Kalo took top honors in the Big Tire and Small Tire racing classes. 
• Peter Bokedon and Antonio D’Angelo were crowned the Quickest Dodge racers in each class. 

And if the drag racing wasn’t enough, NHRA stars Leah Pruett and Matt Hagan unleashed 12,000-horsepower nitro-fueled burnouts on Woodward Avenue, giving fans a rare and unforgettable show. 

Grit, Gears, and Guitar Solos

Before racing kicked off, Mopar fan and blues rock legend Kenny Wayne Shepherd delivered a one-of-a-kind performance of the national anthem, bringing horsepower and harmony together in true Dodge fashion. 

The event also marked the debut of Dodge Badassadors, a new group of brand advocates who bring car culture to life for fans across the country. Add in a display from the Ram brand, including the Ram 1500 NASCAR concept and Raminator Monster Truck, and you’ve got one of the most horsepower-packed weekends in Dodge history.
